Beautiful and inspirational everyday – Palph and Cricket White

De Lande Guesthouse has an adjacent cottage, called Jan Voorman Cottage. This quaint corrugated iron cottage is set against a gentle slope, offering unlimited views of the vast landscape famous for its bright spring colour. The simplicity of this cottage, lined with oregan pine on the inside and double insolation between, finds favour with guests, providing a measure of luxury in a comfortable farmhouse atmosphere.

There are two en-suite bedrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. The kitchen and lounge lead out to the charming front veranda (the classic South African ‘Stoep’), the perfect place to savor that early morning cup of coffee in the sun, your eyes scanning the dolorite Koppies on the horizon.

You can either be self-catering or Alrie’s well-known meals can be booked to be enjoyed at the lovely Farm kitchen at the main Papkuilsfontein farm (9km south from De Lande) with its wide views and cozy fireplace during winter.

Drink in the sweeping vistas over this vast landscape, while reclining on the ‘stoep’
